DaddyScrubs Daddy Diaper Pack Review

My brother and his fiance had twins a little over a month ago and my brother (as most men, I would imagine) hated carrying around their diaper bag. It was green and brown with polka dots and just looked really girly. He said it was really embarrassing being seen with such a girly bag on his shoulder. Even though everyone knew it was a diaper bag, he was just not comfortable with it being so "pretty."

When I gave him DaddyScrubs' Daddy Diaper Pack, he was ecstatic! Now, he can carry all the twins' necessities and not be embarrassed any more. The Daddy Diaper Pack is really cool and designed just like a back pack that goes over both shoulders and hangs on your back, this is the ultimate backpack for Dads! This diaper pack is deceivingly large. It doesn't look as big as it really is. Once you open it up and look down inside it, you realize just how much room there is for all of baby's needs. He can fit everything he needs for the twins all in one pack!

"The custom design allows less fumbling through deep pockets and eliminates struggling to take off the pack while holding baby. The side pockets are great for water bottles, baby bottles, and sippy cups. There’s a big pouch for diapers, wipes, and a change of clothes (and of course a small one for the “dirty stuff”).

The front organizer pocket is designed for the essentials like keys, money, cell phone, pacifier, and small toys. The insulated cooler pocket is perfect for snacks. The skater straps are great for hooking everything from sand pails, to beach towels, to flip flops, hats, and even wet clothes."
- DaddyScrubs

In my opinion, the Daddy Diaper Pack would be the perfect and unique gift as expectant father gifts and new dad gifts. My brother has been using his Daddy Diaper Pack for a week now and he raves about it every time we talk. This thing must be pretty impressive because my brother is not a very easy person to please. He's very picky and only wants the best of everything. He gives two thumbs up for DaddyScrubs' Daddy Diaper Pack!

DaddyScrubs' main product line is their Daddy Scrubs which are medical scrubs with "I'm the Daddy" printed on them. The expectant Daddy to be would wear these scrubs in the hospital when you go to have your baby to help him stay comfy and relaxed in the delivery room. And, after the big day, they are even comfortable enough to wear as pajamas!

Check out DaddyScrubs for all your daddy to be gifts and new dad gifts as well!

SendaBall Review

What started as a fun way to send silly things through the mail to family and friends became a really cool business for two sisters in Chicago. These sisters have been sending balls since the 90's, but in 2003, they realized their crazy idea could actually be a business and SendaBall was born!

I think this is a really cool idea! It is a 10" vinyl playball that is about the size of a volleyball. The balls are sent fully inflated via First Class Mail by the regular United States Postal Service. They are addressed by hand, stamped and mailed. They are not sent inside boxes or any kind of packaging. They arrive at the door as just a ball with any message you have chosen to have put on it. You can choose from balls that already have messages on them, like the one I received: "Have a Ball on your Birthday!" Or you can have a personalized message written on them. There are several colors to choose from and you can send them for any occasion. What a great alternative to sending cards or candy! How cool is it to have a ball delivered to your door with a message on it from someone who loves you?!?! I think these would be greatly appreciated by anyone who receives them, but I think kids would really love them!

You can find SendaBall on Facebook and Twitter.

Real Kids Shades Review

One of every three children in the United States does not receive critical eye care services before the age of six, putting them at risk for early vision loss. Real Kids Shades and Prevent Blindness America, the nation’s oldest eye health and safety organization, have teamed up to raise awareness about the need to protect children’s eyes from the damage caused by unprotected exposure to the sun’s harmful UV rays.

It is extremely important to protect our children's eyes. I love how Real Kids Shades provide 100% protection from eye damaging UV-A & UV-B rays. My four boys and I all struggle with light sensitivity and the sun is often painful to our naked eyes. I have bought them sunglasses in the past, but those sunglasses seem more like fun things for my boys to wear rather than the eye protection that I was hoping for. And, I've learned that wearing cheap toy sunglasses can actually do more harm to a child’s eyes than not wearing anything at all. Shaded lenses without 100% UV-A/UV-B protection will relax pupils, causing them to dilate and let more harmful radiation into children’s eyes. But, with Real Kids Shades, my children's eyes are protected and they look "Cool!" These shades are shatterproof and impact-resistant, they aren't too dark so I'm still able to see my boys' eyes and according to my boys, they are comfortable, fit snugly and stay in place well.

My eleven year old loves the Xtreme Chill Shades for 7 - 12 year olds. I am soo glad he likes them so much, I keep these in the car and he wears them everywhere we go.

He also loves the Xtreme Sports Shades for when he's outside playing. He thinks these are the coolest shades he's ever worn. He spends a lot of his free time riding his bicycle and skateboard and he loves the fact that these shades have a strap that goes around the back holding them even more secure to his head. Now he can ride his bike and board with no worries that his shades will fall off and break.

The Real Kids Flex Shades for 3 - 7 year olds fit my six year old perfectly. The frames are just the right size for his face and they hold snugly to his head without slipping off. It also comes with a removable strap.

The Blade Shades are really cool looking too. My six year old really likes how comfortable they are and how grown up they make him look.

And, last but not least is the Flex Duo Shades. My three year old loves wearing sunglasses, but he always has a hard time keeping them on his little face. They also come with the removable strap that helps the Flex Duo Shades stay in place and they look great on him!

All of these Shades are extremely well made and feel really durable. My boys love the way they look and feel, so no complaints here at all!

I recently learned about a company that I had never heard of before called MyFairyTaleBooks. MyFairyTaleBooks is a company that makes personalized children's books. You just select the book you wish to purchase, fill out the required information with details about the child you wish to have featured in the book and before you know it, you have a beautiful story book with your child's name incorporated into it. I ordered the book "Santa's Story" and I was not disappointed! The book is a hard cover book with beautiful illustrations and I love how they incorporated my son's name into the story line. My son is six years old and can read really well for his age so I thought this book would be perfect for him to practice reading up until Christmas Eve when he is going to read it at our extended family Christmas gathering. He really enjoys this book and was surprised and excited the first time we read it. When we came to the part with his name in it, his little face just lit up with a huge smile! I didn't tell him beforehand that he was going to be in the book, but he absolutely loves it!

MyFairyTaleBooks has a new book called "The Good Friend." The Good Friend will be the debut children’s storybook unique to MyFairyTaleBooks current array of personalized children’s products. The story at it’s core is one of friendship, what makes a good friend and how to build strong character in our young children. It's focus is Bullying! I feel strongly about teaching our kids how to treat others and that being a bully is not acceptable. I feel that this book would be a great book to help spark healthy discussions between children and parents so that we can raise a generation of good friends. Please follow this link and support MyFairyTaleBooks!

The Good Friend is Aimed at preschoolers through early elementary school. The Good Friend will require writing, illustration and production, which we aim to complete and make available early 2013.

Roaring Spring Paper Products Review

Roaring Spring Company is one of the largest independently owned producers of school and office supplies. Founded in 1887 with a 20 person operation in a small two story brick building to over 250 employees in 400,000 square foot of modern manufacturing and distribution facilities that produce a variety of school and office paper products.

I recently had the pleasure of trying several products from Roaring Spring Paper.

I received:
(1) Premium 1 Subject Notebook
(1) Premium 3 Subject Notebook
(1) Premium 5 Subject Notebook
(1) Cross Over Landscape, Portrait & Graph Book
(2) Landscape Wide Pads
(3) Mini Landscape Wide Pads

The Premium Notebooks - environmental paper made from Sustainable Recovered Sugar Cane Fiber! They have perforated edges, durable vinyl covers, heavy duty backs, one double pocket, a class schedule and assignments page. These notebooks are really nice. I love the quality of the paper and the added class schedule and assignments page.

The Cross Over Notebook is really neat! You can use the paper as either landscape paper, portrait paper or graph paper. Backlight creates the grid pattern so the grid pattern lines aren't easy to notice, which is a good thing if you're using the paper as regular notebook paper. If you hold a sheet of paper up, you can't really see the grid lines. But, if you have it down on the notebook itself, you can see them so it's a really handy notebook to have around! This makes your everyday notebook multi-functional!

The mini landscape pads are great for jotting down the notes that I need to keep up with for my job. I received these little things in great colors....pink, purple and blue! What a fun and colorful way to take notes!

My favorite thing about this company though is how dedicated they are to being more environmentally friendly!

Roaring Spring was named 2010 Recycler of the Year!

Through recycling, we annually save 25,889 trees, 11 million gallons of water, 4690 cubic yards of landfill space, 6.4 million kilowatts of electricity, and eliminate 93,809 pounds of air pollutants.

You can find them on Facebook and Twitter.
